Contemporary Walnut & White Kitchen

A CONTEMPORARY HOUSE HIDDEN AWAY IN A MAINLY TRADITIONAL NEIGHBORHOOD SCREAMS "UNIQUE". THE KITCHEN IS ONE OF MANY PROJECTS TAKING PLACE AND IS SURE TO BE A STUNNER. THE EXISTING KITCHEN IS DATED BUT HAS LOTS OF NATURAL LIGHT COMING IN FROM TWO LARGE SLIDING GLASS DOORS. WE STARTED WITH LAYOUT TO GET THE RIGHT FLOW AND WORK TRIANGLE. GETTING THE RIGHT CABINETS IN PLACE FOR PROPER STORAGE AND EASE OF ACCESS FOLLOWED. WE REMOVED ONE OF THE LARGE SLIDING DOORS TO CONVERT IT INTO A PICTURE WINDOW WITH A SERVING/ BEVERAGE BAR BELOW. A PERFECT PLACE TO MAKE A MORNING COFFEE AND TAKE A MOMENT TO ADMIRE THE VIEW. THE ISLAND HAS A NICE PREP SPACE AND AMPLE COUNTER AREA FOR SPREADING OUT AND ENJOYING SOME BAKING FUN. WITH A STATEMENT WATERFALL FOOD COUNTER THAT PARTIALLY RESTS ON THE WORK TOP, WE HAVE CREATED A HANGOUT SPOT AND SPACE SEPARATOR FOR GUESTS IN THE KITCHEN. TO PROVIDE AN ALTERNATE WORKSPACE, DINING AREA AND SOFTNESS, THERE IS A LOWER SEATING BANQUET WITH TABLE RIGHT NEXT TO THE BUFFET COUNTER. Read more...

Kitchen Remodel - Short Hills, NJ

This beautiful Short Hills home needed an update in their kitchen and first floor powder room. The powder room got a new black vanity in addition to hexagon marble tile, while the kitchen is two-toned with white upper cabinetry and graphite lower cabinetry and pantry. The kitchen was once closed off so we opened up half the wall into the family room so a large seating area that joins the two rooms together makes this space feel whole. Mixed metals are a nice touch in the kitchen with stainless steel appliances and faucet, satin brass hardware and a black light that sits above the sink. Read more...

Living History - Remodeling one of the oldest house in Chatham, New Jersey

Old houses and tiny kitchens are always challenging. This renovation has both. Our team has delicately dismantled the mid-century kitchen and centuries old space and created room for a larger kitchen footprint by altering doorways and rotating the position of the refrigerator. We carefully selected modern finishes that reflect the Colonial period of the home. The Shaker style alder cabinets are finished in a custom red barnwood stain and the quartz countertops are designed to look like dark grey soapstone. Read more...

Warm Wood Bath Remodel - Randolph, NJ

Good sized first floor bathroom originally with a Jacuzzi tub in what is used as the guest powder room was not the right fit for this family of four. We removed the tub and replaced it with a large shower with the skylight above for natural light to pour in. White subway tile lines the shower up to the ceiling while the cement floor tile has a fun flower pattern that compliments the warm wood vanity and oil rubbed bronze fixtures. Read more...

Second Floor Bathroom Reconfiguration - Randolph, NJ

Upstairs Bath Reconfiguration - the awkward layout didnt work for this growing family in Randolph, NJ. High on the wish list was a large vanity and lots of natural light, a spacious open concept bathroom. Relocating and rearranging all of the plumbing fixtures in this bathroom was a challange with a finsihed kitchen below. To make it even more of a challange for our team the back 3' of the bathrooom is cantilevered. The new layout with rotating the tub to the far wall provided the space for the large vanity and flooded with light by addiung the transome window in the shower. Additional storgage was created by reframing the sink wall and making way for an oversized recessed medicine cabinet. Read more...
