Seeing is believing. We turn a once small cramped bathroom into a bright, inviting space with a custom see-through-shower with a spectacular view.

Homeowner:

Its a cramped space and the kids we need more counter space, and the shower is like a dungeon. What do we do?

Designer:

Many of the homes here in Short Hills NJ have small spaces we have plenty of solutions on how to open it up  and maximize space here are a few things we can do says Senior Designer Robin Finnegan;

Shower window.  Opening up allows light into the shower and produce a waterfall effect on the glass
Relocate the radiator . Move it out of the corner opening up floor space, recess a sleek European unit into a wall.
Change the swing on the door. By having it open out into the hallway you create more of an open feel when you enter.
Choose a smaller toilet. One piece units are not as long saving valuable real estate, allowing more walking room.
Heated towel bar. moving it to over the toilet gets it off the wall in the entry way and everyone loves a warm towel.
Corner sink. We gain the much needed room for continuous counter space
Niche in the shower. An oversized niche with free floating shelves will give the girls room for all of the products they enjoy.

Bathers will enjoy a view into the wooded backyard, and the young girls have the storage they need complete with much needed counter for the makeup. While we were remodeling the other two bathrooms in the house we updated the plumbing all the way to the basement so it'll be a worry free home in NJ
