Project:

Modern Farmhouse Kitchen Remodel in Jersey City, NJ

A bold, functional kitchen with custom details and structural ingenuity

Project Description

This Jersey City townhouse renovation was a project that required both vision and structural ingenuity. The client came to us with an extensive wish list, but the challenge lay in the second-floor unit’s engineered trusses, which had to be modified to bring the design to life. With careful planning, we transformed the space, overcoming structural hurdles while maximizing functionality and aesthetics. The result? A breathtaking kitchen that balances modern convenience with rustic warmth.

A standout feature of this space is the bold contrast between the crisp white cabinetry and the deep navy island, topped with striking veined countertops. Reclaimed wood elements, including a rustic beam spanning the ceiling and custom sliding barn doors, add character and warmth. Thoughtful design details like the integrated wine storage, pull-out spice racks, and a beautifully crafted farmhouse sink seamlessly blend function with charm.

Beyond the kitchen, the space extends into a cozy yet airy dining nook, featuring a built-in bench, a custom wood table, and large windows that flood the area with natural light. Pendant lighting and black metal accents tie the open-plan space together, creating a harmonious blend of modern farmhouse and transitional design. Every detail was curated to provide the client with a space that feels both inviting and practical.

This project was even featured in New Jersey Monthly, highlighting the craftsmanship and ingenuity behind the design. The transformation speaks for itself—what was once a structurally challenging layout is now a refined, highly functional space that serves as the heart of the home.
