I work in architecture, so choosing the right contractor is important to me.

I don't normally write reviews, but I felt one was necessary for the work that KraftMaster performed at my house. They were hired to gut my third floor and convert it into a cozy and functional primary suite. At the same time, my wife and I gutted and updated a powder room off the kitchen.

I work in architecture, so choosing the right contractor is important to me. I researched about 60 design/builders in my area and immediately my number one pick was KraftMaster based on proximity, small-ish firm (10-25 people), and portfolio. Those initial 60 firms were narrowed down to a top 8. Of the 8 firms that I contacted, 5 came out to give me a quote. After the 5 quotes were in, my wife and I knew the decision was clear. We chose KraftMaster because they have their stuff together, from scheduling to invoicing to on-staff specialists (no subcontractors).

Everyone from KraftMaster who entered our home throughout the build was kind, competent, and respectful of our schedule and privacy. My wife and I work from home, so we often needed quiet "no-build" times while we took Zoom meetings, which KraftMaster was willing to accommodate. I'd like to single a few people from their company for their outstanding help throughout the process:

Steve, the day-to-day expeditor, was like a family member to us by the end. He's always smiling, always working.

Bogden, the tile guy, is simply the best tile layer I've ever seen. We have a lot of tile in our bathrooms (walls, some ceiling, some huge tiles, some tiny tiles), and he made every tiled area look 100% square.

Lastly, Vicky, the designer, was crucial to our build. Not only did she design the space (three different floor plans actually, and we chose our favorite), but she went shopping with us on multiple occasions to pick out vanities, bath fixtures, tile, toilets, paint colors, and more.

When all was said and done, the work performed by KraftMaster was on budget and on schedule, a rarity in the construction world. Other than having on-staff painters, I don't know how you improve a quality company like them. We love our finished spaces and are so happy that we chose KraftMaster.
