This project involved transforming an outdated, poorly insulated bathroom above a garage in Princeton, NJ, into a serene, spa-like retreat. Designed by Maureen Madigan, a senior designer at KraftMaster, the space was created to meet the needs of busy homeowners seeking a calm and rejuvenating daily routine.
“When you have this busy lifestyle, your bathroom is where you can spend a half hour to just relax,” says Madigan. The design incorporated natural stone finishes, a MrSteam steam shower system, ChromaSteam™ lighting, and AromaSteam™ aromatherapy, all working together to create a calming daily ritual for the family.
With smart collaboration between KraftMaster and MrSteam’s tech team, the project overcame the challenge of steam generator placement — ultimately installing it in the garage below with a fire-rated service hatch.
