Thrilled - Kitchen remodel, Teaneck, NJ
I hired Bob to take on our kitchen/gut/remodel. Many people can appear to be professional. Bob was that and so much more. Redoing our 1950 kitchen was one obstacle after another. One highly recommended contractor never showed up.
Two other "experienced" contractors saw only problems (couldn't be bothered) and strongly encouraged me to rethink my dream kitchen (OMG) where another promised unpractical but sexy designs. I had a vision and Bob made my vision happen.
He did not promise anything he could not deliver. He never said "no" and when we met a difficult dilemma; rather he offered us options and suggestions. There were no surprises during the gut because Bob took the time to thoroughly understand the underbelly of our kitchen prior to promising us anything. This included getting on a ladder and breaking through walls to see what piping was actually there and how he need to reroute/hide. Yes, we were in this together.
Bob and his crew became our family; trusted and professional throughout the process. We communicated well; we laughed and sighed as we hurried to see the end result. As the kitchen remodel progressed and our vision expanded, we choose to open doorways, change flooring, take down walls in adjoining rooms. Bob was on board and remained as upbeat as we were. Prior to each addition/change/ tear down, we were given a price upfront. NO SURPRISES OR ADDITIONAL HIDDEN COSTS.
Bob recognized how important this renovation was to me. The end result was my dream kitchen where my family gathers not just for Thanksgiving and to celebrate milestones but for the day to day good (and not so good) meals where people linger and converse. My kitchen is hard working, efficient and beautiful. Not long after our kitchen was completed, Better Homes and Gardens came to photograph it. How great is that!
Like anything else, we're only as good as the people we work with so you must know how much we appreciate you and your team for making this happen. You should be very proud because it was certainly not an easy redo..
